Picking Portfolio Pieces

One thing that I have a really hard time doing is picking out my 'best' photos for showcase on my website. I can critique others' work all day long, but when it comes to things for myself (both design and critique), I can lose focus fast. Does anyone have resources, recommendations, ideas, etc....

Hello! Just wanted to get information out one last time on the 5 year reunion for the class of SI 2003. The event will be summer of 2008 in Kalispell, MT either July or Aug. I am taking random votes on which month is prefered up until Feb. 1st. And I still need "some" students updated...

2008 SIAlumni.com Roadmap

All,
I wanted to post a quick update on what I am thinking for 2008. First, I have been working with a different web system (Drupal for those interested) for some other projects that I am involved with through my consulting business. It offers some pretty exciting features and I think addresses...

Divided Efforts

Well, it appears that my fears are coming true - I just went on a little search and found RMSP Alumni groups at Facebook, Flickr, and MySpace. Despite everyone's best intentions I feel this can only serve to confuse alumni and hinder our efforts in forming a cohesive and supportive community. It...

Always Looking For Feedback

All,
Just browsing around today and taking note of a few things that still need to be fixed:

The bread-crumbs at the top need to show what page your came from so you don't get stuck going back to the first page in a multi-page folder. For example, if you go to the "Nature" folder and start...

1)Ratings widget still not working right.

2)Adding tags to a page does not display correctly if the tags list is initially empty.

These will get fixed in version 3.

Fixed a few more problems with the layout in Internet Explorer.

1) Control Panel - links at the top were not displaying properly

2) Long words listed in right sidebar were not overflowing well.

Both issues fixed.

Any Ideas On Gallery Folders/Categories

Just a reminder. I could use some help coming up with folders for our Gallery. I can think of (not in any particular order):

-Nature
-Events
-Portrait
-Abstract
-Architectural
-Landscapes
-Fashion
-Food
-Travel

As you can see this can be very difficult to get "right" as there are many options.
