Macy's Spring Flower Show

A friend and I went to Macy's to shoot the spring flower show...Low light, F2.8, and a lens baby for the first one helped me w/ these shots. The "sun" is really a celing light!

With the drought here in late summer/early fall, it took forever for our colors to come in. Right before they were about to go, we got some rain and things brightened up.

I was hard pressed to get off my butt this morning and shoot, but it was worth it. I counted 25 eagles without turning my head! The cold has continued and the rivers are freezing tight, so it has really brought the birds in. The Honkers kept coming in as well. The forecast is for warmer...

Spent a couple of days along 395. Way too much smoke from numerous fires. I felt like I'd smoked a couple of packs before returning to the Sacramento Valley. This was shot a few minutes after sunrise. The sun is to the right just outside of the frame.

These little things are hard to tell apart, but it looks like a female Broad-tailed. Caught this near an alpine pond on a recent trip to Cedar Breaks, UT. More on that trip later. This is output from Lightroom B3. Testing it against Aperture.
